Animation Block Party, organizers of Brooklyn’s indie animation-dedicated festival, has announced its official Animation for Kids festival program! The screening will take place on August 9 at the Simons Theatre at the New England Aquarium, located at 1 Central Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. Animation Block Party at the Aquarium is sponsored in part by GBH, the leading multi-platform creator for public media in America.

Animation Block Party at the Aquarium is curated to create fun for families with kids of all ages, featuring the world’s best animated shorts, live music, concessions and prizes for the audience.

The festival features two award categories: the Audience Award and Student Film winners will receive ABP merchandise, Dragonframe software, a filmmaker stipend and more. This summer’s poster was illustrated by longtime festival artist Robert Bohn.
