First-Look Clip: ‘South Park’ (and Jesus) Return for Season 27

It’s a big day for South Park and Comedy Central animation fans! Following this morning’s announcement that producer Park County and Paramount Global have reached a new overall deal and sneak peek at Digman! Season 2, the network has unleashed a first look at the South Park Season 27 premiere episode.

Both series have their season premieres tonight (Wednesday, July 23) on Comedy Central, at 10 p.m. ET/PT (South Park) and 10:30 ET/PT (Digman!). New episodes of South Park will be available on Paramount+ the next day.

In the S27 debut episode of South Park, “Sermon on the ‘Mount’,”when the residents of South Park face their possible demise, Jesus returns to give them an important message.

The hit animated franchise debuted on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997, after school-age antiheroes Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny were first introduced in the animated short The Spirit of Christmas. Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are executive producers, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producers. Christopher Brion is the Creative Director of South Park Digital Studios.
