‘South Park’ S27 Premiere Scores Biggest Viewer Share in 25+ Years

South Park Season 27 viewership has rocketed to the biggest premiere share on Comedy Central since 1999, up +68% versus the show’s Season 26 premiere (9.20 vs. 5.48), and 5.9 million cross-platform viewers across Paramount+ and Comedy Central. In addition, the viral premiere dominated Wednesday as the #1 telecast across all cable.

The viral return of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny … and Jesus … was also the show’s most social episode ever, as #SouthPark trended on X for over 12 hours, ranking #1 for 5 hours. It was also the most buzzed about program across all TV on social media last Wednesday.

Fans can tune-in tonight, July 30, for an encore airing of the premiere episode, “Sermon on the ‘Mount,” with a new episode airing Wednesday, August 6 at 10 p.m. ET on Comedy Central and next day on Paramount+.

Comedy Central provided the viewership stats following Nielsen’s reports.
