Leading Chinese online video streaming platform Tencent Video and anime distributor Animplex are launching the Chinese dubbed version of animated series Dragon Raja Season 2 (24 x 25′) on Crunchyroll and other platforms today (Friday, July 18) as a simulcast with Tencent Video.
Tencent Video and Aniplex have collaborated on distribution since 2024, starting with the first season of Dragon Raja. The forthcoming launch of the second season, followed by the Japanese language version in October, marks a significant step in the companies’ global partnership, representing a deeper collaboration between the two on the Dragon Raja project.
In the second season of Dragon Raja, during the summer vacation, series’ hero Lu Mingfei is dispatched by his college on an SS-rank mission with his senior Chu Zihang. On their way back to school, they encounter the beautiful new student Xia Mi. As ominous storms begin to fall, and whispers of the awakening of the Dragon King of Earth and Mountain stir… Where will our young heroes turn next?
Dragon Raja is based on a Chinese fantasy novel series written by Jiang Nan, which has also inspired a popular mobile game. The first season premiered in 2022 and is also available on Crunchyroll. The ame is developed by Epic Games and Zulong Entertainment.
