Trailer & Guest Star List for ‘Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends’ Unmasked!

The official trailer for Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, the first preschool series starring Iron Man, was revealed today along with the roster of guest voices for the debut season. The series is set to premiere Monday, August 11, on Disney Jr. (8:30 a.m. ET/PT) and later that day on Disney Channel, with the first 10 episodes available on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets and Disney Jr. On Demand the following day (Tues., Aug. 12).

John Stamos, who voiced the role of Iron Man (a.k.a. Tony Stark) in the hit series Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends, will now take on the role of Tony’s father, Howard Stark, in the new series. A first-look image of the character was also released today:

Also joining the series in guest roles are the following:

  • ESPN sportscaster and analyst Jessica Mendoza as Dottie Doubleday, the friendly owner of Dottie Doubleday’s Batting Cages
  • Jackée Harry as Granny Williams, Riri’s spunky grandmother who owns a mobile pie truck
  • Stephen Tobolowsky as Spencer Q. Sweets, the owner of the coolest candy shop in town
  • Lauren Tom as Helen Cho, Amadeus’ enthusiastic and loving mother
  • Gary Anthony Williams and Mo Collins as Nuts and Bolts, respectively, two of Ultron’s hilarious henchbots

The series stars Mason Blomberg as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Kapri Ladd as Riri Williams (Ironheart), Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk), Tony Hale as Ultron, Vanessa Bayer as Swarm and Talon Warburton as Absorbing Man.

Synopsis: Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses Tony Stark, Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho as they work together to solve problems, both big and small, and protect their city. In order to help them save the day, the Iron Friends each have their own Iron Suits that allow them to fly and give them enhanced super-strength.

From Disney Branded Television, the series is executive produced by Sean Coyle and Harrison Wilcox. James Eason-Garcia is co-executive producer and story editor, Alex Cichon is supervising producer, Ashley Rideout is producer and Michael Dowding is supervising director. Grammy Award-nominated musician Mark Hoppus, bassist, vocalist and founding member of pop-punk band blink-182, wrote and performed the series theme song, “Totally Awesome.” Matthew Margeson is the series’ composer.
