In celebration of National Geographic’s ‘Sharkfest’ programming event this week, Disney Jr. will be airing shark-themed episodes and shorts from hit series, including Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Disney Jr. Ariel – The Little Mermaid.
Included in this special Sharkfest sidebar for preschoolers, running July 7-13, is the brand-new music video “It’s Jeff!” from Season 4 of Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends. The video features everyone’s favorite Land Shark, Jeff, the breakout star from Marvel Comics and the popular Marvel Rivals video game from Marvel Games and NetEase Games, with a song written and performed by Grammy Award-nominated Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy).
Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends is the first full-length Marvel preschool series and follows the adventures of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales as they team up with super heroes to defeat foes and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day.
The global hit series, which is currently the No. 2 streaming series for kids and boys 2-5 in the U.S., recently premiered its fourth season which introduces a new “Water-Webs” story arc in which Team Spidey receives water-themed powers and pirate suits. The series streams on Disney+ and is also available on Disney Jr., Disney Jr. YouTube and Marvel HQ.
This summer, Sharkfest returns with over 25 hours of programming, including Sharks Up Close with Bertie Gregory, the Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story documentary, Investigation Shark Attack, Super Shark Highway, Shark Quest: Hunt for the Apex Predator and Sharks of the North. Sharkfest kicked off on July 5 on Nat Geo with all content streaming the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
