Cinematheque to Screen New Shorts for Adults

Animation fans looking for something fresh and new should be more than satisfied by a special shorts program set to run at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 25, at The American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

The program, Animation for Adults: Short Program features shorts from local filmmakers and from students at USC and CalArts. The two-hour program will feature everything from experimental animation to traditional cartoons.

The films include:

  • Louis Thomas’ Le Ballet
  • Jason Reicher’s The Red Tide
  • Paul Flores Camping Chaos

  • Quique’s Lionfish Delusion
  • Jacob Streilein’s Punctuwool
  • Tom Law’s Eyes
  • Aron Bothman’s Still
  • Madeline Sharafian’s Omelette
  • Ryan Gillis’ Badbloom, FL
  • Careen Ingle’s Bob Hope
  • Emily Henricks Eckstein’s Multiply
  • Laura Yilmaz’s Places Other People Have Lived
  • Reginald Ford’s Tailypo
  • Cecilia Fletcher’s Peekaboo
  • Javier Barboza’s Papel Picado
