‘Guardians,’ ‘TMNT’ Top Slow Weekend

Guardians of the Galaxy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were once again the top two films at the domestic box office this weekend — one of the slowest in recent years.

Marvel’s space heroes topped the weekend with a mere $10 million. The movie’s domestic gross stands at $294 million and its international at $292 million for a $586 million worldwide gross.

Turtles landed in second place with $6.5 million in domestic ticket sales. That film sold $175 million in ticket sales domestically and $126 million abroad for a $300 million worldwide gross.
