West, Ward Tease Animated Return to Batman

Holy Reunions, Batman!

Actors Adam West and Burt Ward, who played Batman and Robin on the classic 1966-69 live-action TV series, let slip at a convention appearance that they will reprise those roles for at least one animated feature celebrating the show’s 50th anniversary.

The pair let loose the news during a panel appearance at the Mad Monster Party convention in Charlotte, N.C.

Ward told the audience that they can “look forward to a new animated Batman full-length 90-minute feature coming out on the 50th anniversary — one of possibly two, but for sure one that Adam and I are going to be doing the voices for.”

No further details are available, but it makes sense that such a project would come from Warner Bros. Animation as one of its DC Universe line of original animated features released on DVD, Blu-ray and digital home video platforms.
