Aardman’s ‘Morph’ Returning to TV

After more than 15 years out of the spotlight, Aardman Animation’s iconic clay hero Morph will return to the small screen with a new series of adventures beginning on U.K. channel CBBC next month. The short format episodes stay true to Morph’s original milieu, shot using clay and traditional stop-motion animation techniques.

“Both Morph and I are equally delighted that his latest adventures are back on the BBC,” said Aardman co-founder Peter Lord, who co-created the character back in 1977. “Although he’s been away for a while, I’m delighted to report that he’s as lively and full-of-fun as ever – and rather more youthful than his creators! It’s fantastic to see him back in his rightful home.”

The new series launched last summer after a successful Kickstarter campaign raised over 110,000 GBP (approx $170k USD) to partially fund 15 brand-new one-minute episodes. These were released throughout the second half of 2014 through https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvPaWTrJ3UE Morph’s YouTube channel.
