Montreal’s ToonDraw Productions will see its new animated TV series YaYa & Zouk premiere on two broadcasters in the coming days as it launches on Saturday, Sept. 12 on Radio-Canada and Monday, Sept. 14 on Yoopa.

YaYa & Zouk comprises 78 episodes aimed at a 3- to 6-year old audience. Created by Raymond Lebrun and Dominique Jolin (Toupie and Binou), the show centers on good-natured, optimistic young friends having fun as they move between the real and imaginary worlds, accompanied by their toys that come alive. YaYa & Zouk is entirely produced in Montreal and is accompanied by the website yayaandzouk.com.

Also in development at indie studio ToonDraw are animated series Genius Genie (in collaboration with Radio-Canada and Tele-Quebec), aimed at kids 3-6 and themed on dealing with everyday life problems with humor; and with the participation of the Cogeco Fund, Animal Talk is a comedy for 8- to 10-year olds, wherein animals always get the last word.
