ABC Australia announces that it will premiere new hybrid preschool series Hoot Hoot Go! on May 16. The 26 x 5 program is a spinoff of the network’s flagship show Giggle and Hoot, and will air daily at 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Hoot Hoot Go! introduces a new avian amigo named Hootly to owl stars Hoot and Hootabelle. Hootly is a curious, orange owl who holds down a job with Owl Traffic Control on the Night Watch and serves as a guide and watch-bird for her owl friends as they face everyday situations. Other familiar characters in the new series include Pirate Hootbeard, Giggle Fangs, Hootaluna and Giggle Bot.
Executive produced by Jan Stradling, the series blends live-action puppetry and CG animation and focuses on values of teamwork, friendship, positive problem-solving, and inclusive play fueled by the imagination.
