New Montreal-based multiplatform production company K6 Media Group — lead by Emmy Award winner Laurent M. Abecassis — is making its MIPTV debut this year, and announces the acquisition of rights to comic-book property Lil Santa. The company plans to introduce the charming character to viewers worldwide in the 2018 holiday season.
Lil Santa comics have been published by Dupuis in Belgium since 2000, with the five titles in the series selling well internationally. Lil Santa’s adventures are written by Lewis Trondheim, the creator of popular animated series Kaut and Zösky and Fly Tales. The original artwork is by French comicker/illustrator Thierry Robin.
