‘Toy Story 3’ Wins Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature

Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story 3 has won the best animated feature award at the Golden Globes.

The film beat out challengers Despicable Me, How to Train Your Dragon, The Illusionist and Tangled for the top honor.

The award was presented by teen singing star Justin Beiber and True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld.

“Were you two even born when the first Toy Story came out?” joked Lee Unkrich, director of Toy Story 3, as he accepted the honor.

The win gives Toy Story 3 some momentum in the awards season. Disney and Pixar are pushing the film for a best animated feature and best picture Oscar. The Globes did not nominate Toy Story 3 as either best picture drama or best picture (musical or comedy).
