FX has ordered an animated action-comedy pilot from Megan Ganz (Modern Family, Community) and Archer creator Adam Reed (Floyd County Prod.), which puts a new twist on the Western (with a demure nod to Muhammad Ali), titled Cassius & Clay. Featuring an A-list comedy voice cast, the project is exec produced and written by Ganz and Reed at FX Productions.
Cassius & Clay is an action-packed buddy comedy about two women bandits making their way through a post-apocalyptic future America. Ordwood Cassius — voiced by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Kaitlin Olson — is a hard-drinking, quick-thinking, fast-talking rogue who has more debts than sense. Shopcarter Clay (Childrens Hospital’s Lake Bell) is the fastest gun in the post-apocalyptic South who doesn’t need to look for trouble, because she shares a station wagon with it.
Regular series voices will also include Susan Sarandon, Jeffrey Tambor, JB Smoove, Kevin Michael Richardson, Stephen Root, Katy Mixon and Robert Patrick.
