Hertzfeldt’s ‘World of Tomorrow’ Tops Fantoche Fest

Don Hertzfeldt’s short World of Tomorrow was named Best Film at the 13th International Fantoche Animation Film Festival, which drew more than 25,000 attendees in Baden, Switzerland.

The festival also gave awards to Erlkönig, from Georges Schwizgebel, for Best Swiss Film; and to Carlos Lascano’s Lila for Best Kids Film.

Next year’s festival will be held Sept. 6-11 in Baden.
