‘Phonics School’ Class in Session on Amazon

Animated educational series Phonics School has joined the Amazon Prime Video family, thanks to a new deal with licensor BBC Worldwide Learning. Produced by London’s Enabling Genius studio, the 16 x 5, 2D animated series is now available to Prime members through the Amazon Video app for smart TVs, connected devices like Amazon’s Fire TV, mobile devices, and online.

Phonics School stars alphabet letter-shaped characters called Phonikers, who are learning to master their powers to “transformagix” into anything with a name that starts with their sounds. The Phonikers can change back by tracing their letter shapes. The series thus teaches preschoolers letter recognition, letter-sound association and shape tracing.

BBC Worldwide recently licensed Wisdom Edition to produce digital books based on Phonics School for 20,000 schools across mainland China.
