The legendary star of I Dream of Jeannie Barbara Eden is returning to her genie roots and getting animated star treatment in a brand-new episode of Nickelodeon’s hit preschool series Shimmer and Shine.
In “The Crystal Queen,” premiering Friday, November 18 at 11 a.m. ET/PT, Eden voices Empress Caliana, a quirky genie ruler and mentor to Samira, the genie princess. When power-hungry sorceress Zeta traps Samira in a magical crystal cave, Shimmer, Shine and Leah team up with Empress Caliana to save the day.
Currently the number-one preschool series in its timeslot across all TV, Shimmer and Shine follows the twin genies-in-training on their adventures and highlights a social-emotional curriculum emphasizing teamwork, resilience and overcoming obstacles.
