Katzenberg’s Compensation Dropped 40.5% in 2011

According to a recent regulatory filing, DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg’s compensation for 2011 dropped to $4 million (from $6.7 million in 2010). The studio head got a $1 salary in both years, but he received option awards worth $4.3 million in 2010 that he didn’t get in 2011. His earnings in 2011 came in the form of $3,999,997 in stock awards, which was up from $2,399,976 in 2010.

President and CFO Lewis Coleman made $3.7 million in 2011, down from, $5.95 million in 2010, while COO Ann Daly’s compensation rose from $1.6 million to more than $3 million, thanks to $2 million in stock awards. DreamWorks co-founder David Geffen also received $2 million last year for his services.
